The apartment is ideally placed to allow visitors easy access to the many tourist attractions and cultural activities and events that this exciting festival city has to offer and the immediate area is very well served with a variety of cafes, restaurants and bars to suit all tastes.
The property, which backs on to the Edinburgh College of Art is also within ten minute’s walk of the University of Edinburgh and the city’s financial district.
There is also a diverse range of independent speciality shops, (Victoria Street in particular) including, at the apartment entrance, several charming second hand bookshops.
Travel and Transport
As a modern and cosmopolitan capital city, Edinburgh has a good public transport system.
The main bus station is situated in St Andrew’s Square and the central train station is Waverley – Edinburgh’s main railway station at the east end of Princes Street. Both are a few minute’s taxi ride from the apartment.
Edinburgh International Airport is a 35 minute taxi ride from the airport in typical traffic. There is also a regular and excellent value airport express bus Airport Express Bus Terminus from the airport to Waverley station.
Lothian Regional Transport operates the local bus network.
